This water-based exfoliating serum is fortified with AHA’s, BHA’s and Azeloglicina; a natural alternative to Azelaic Acid. Formulated to exfoliate, kill bacteria, decongest pores, and improve skin texture for a smoother, clearer, and more balanced complexion with an emphasis on skin brightening.

Azeloglicina (Natural alternative to Azelic Acid)
Natural alternative to Azelaic Acid created by the acylation (chemical reaction) between Azelaic Acid and Glycerin. It is an active and effective ingredient that illuminates and improves skin texture and tone for a smoother, clearer and more even skin colour; it addresses hyperpigmentation and skin discolouration by decreasing tyrosinase activity in clinical studies by 50% in 15 days and melanin production by 15.93%.. Widely used for the treatment of post inflammatory hyperpigmentation associated with acne, this powerful pigment fighting active ingredient provides the skin with a more radiant and clear skin. Due to the acylation of Glycerin, it has hydrating and elasticising properties that balance sebum levels making it more tolerable and gentler as opposed to direct Azelaic Acid which is used for the treatment of skin pigmentation and acne, and is illegal in Australia due to safety concern issues and concerns.

Lactic Acid
Lactic Acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) which rejuvenates the skin by encouraging the shedding of redundant surface skin cells. It can reduce the appearance of fine lines, irregular pigmentation, age spots, decreases the appearance of enlarged pores., brightens dull skin, smooths and evens skin while making it look firmer.

Succinic Acid
Succinic acid is a dicarboxylic acid, naturally found in plants all over the world, through the Amber (fossilised tree resin). It is involved in several chemical processes, which are mostly related to cell metabolism.

Saliylic Acid
Beta-Hydroxy Acid (BHA), derived from Willow Bark, is an oil soluble acid used for the effective treatment of dissolving blockages in the pores due to sebum and excessively built-up skin cells causing hyperkeratinisation of the skin and the follicles. Salicylic acid possesses great antibacterial properties eradicating the skin of harmful acne causing bacteria whilst also reducing inflammation associated with breakouts and acne. By regulating sebum levels and increasing cellular turnover salicylic acid smooths skin texture, decongests the skin and reduces the appearance of acne and inflamed breakouts.

Witch Hazel Extract
A natural active water obtained from witch hazel leaves. This water is characterized by its astringent and toning action, which helps tighten pores and revives radiance in the complexion. Its vasoconstricting properties improve microcirculation and reduce redness.
